  1. To Burmese Christian Community Church ,
My name is Anh Vu -Family Resource Coordinator at Refugee Transitions- a non profit agency assists refugee and immigrant families in becoming self-sufficient in the US

Refugee Transitons and four other non-profit agencies are planning for a Parent Workshop for newly arrived immigrant and refugee family in South Bay area. The workshop will focus on parenting values in American culture and informed the participants of ways that they could narrow the cultural divide between themselves and their rapidly acculturating children.

Refugee Transitions will provide Burmese and Karen translators and child care for participants. After the workshop , we will also provide families with additional counseling and social service information/referrals as needed .

I would love to come and talk to Burmese community about this even for Burmese or have a focus group about the event if you would like to know more or have any other questions. I could be reached at anh@reftrans.org .
I'm looking forward to hear back from you and to present the workshop to the Burmese Community .
